The evening performance starts at 8pm. We find time for a concert when in Prague. It is always an amazing and very uplifting experience. Oh, and of course Mozart played here, years later Dvorak played here too.
The church is at the foot of the Charles Bridge on the Stare Mesto side. I came to the church for the specific purpose of attending an evening concert. The performers were excellent, Organist, Violinist, Soprano, with a mix of solo, duo and trio pieces. Naturally many of the pieces selected were religious. The final one was an exquisite presentation of "Panis Angelicus" with the contribution of all three artists. The appropriateness of this church as the setting for the concert cannot be understated as it contributes to the sacredness of the music and lifts one to another realm being surrounded by the statuary, art and painted walls and ceiling.
We decided to go for a concert while in Prague and selected the concert they had in this church. What an experience, the sound in this church is amazing and the church is beautiful to be in while music like Ave Marie is played.. Great experience.. The interior of this church is jaw droppingly beautiful with its painted ceilings, high arches, lovely alter and all the little details and frescoes that make up this fabulous church.

Very easy to locate being just off Charles Bridge on Krizovnicke in an area of outstanding architecture. A great church and well worth checking out. Most definitely worth a visit if in the area as the design and prominence the church has is very impressive. The exterior is not that attractive, but the interior is stunning with marble statues, fabulous paintings, beautiful ornaments at the altar and the painting of The Last Judgment on the dome.
All these are worth to go in for a visit. The church has an organ that was played by Mozart and Dvorak. So we bought tickets to enjoy a wonderful concert, the acoustics of the church are great.

This organ is well built, very clean, and in immaculate condition. It should serve the church without any major repairs for decades to come. We have made several trips to Akron to dismantle the instrument. Within the next few months, you will start to see changes in the balcony. This is to accommodate the new instrument and properly voice it for our sanctuary. For more information, please don't hesitate to ask Bob Hull about the project and its progress.
